IMPORTANT NOTICE
Recommended acquisition of Kopane Diamond Developments PLC ("Kopane" or the "Company") by Firestone Diamonds PLC ("Firestone") (the "Offer"). It has come to the Company's attention that a number of shareholders have received unsolicited telephone phone calls concerning the Offer from unauthorised agents. In some cases, callers have suggested that shareholders sell their shares via an intermediary broker. Shareholders should note that Georgeson, a trading name of Computershare Investor Services Plc which is regulated by Financial Services Authority (the "FSA"), has been authorised by the Company to contact shareholders to remind them of the importance of voting at the forthcoming shareholder meetings that have been convened in connection with the Offer. However, Georgeson will not be offering any investment advice to shareholders, nor seeking to make any cash offer for their shares. The directors of Kopane have not recommended any action in relation to the Offer other than that shareholders vote in favour of the Scheme of Arrangement, by which the Offer is being implemented, at the forthcoming shareholder meetings. Should the Offer become effective, Kopane shares will be cancelled, and Shareholders will receive new shares in Fitzgerald, as more fully described in the Scheme Document sent to shareholders on 13 July 2010. The Scheme Document also contains notice of the shareholder meetings. The Company wishes to make it clear that no communications other than those from Georgeson or Computershare have been authorised by Kopane. Further, Kopane believes that communications other than those from Georgeson or Computershare may form part of an attempted "boiler room" scam to dupe shareholders out of their investment in the Company. If you have any questions relating to the forthcoming shareholder meetings, or would like a copy of the Scheme Document, please telephone Kopane's registrars, Computershare, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. (London time), Monday to Friday (except UK public holidays) on 0870 889 4068 from within the UK or +44 870 889 4068 if calling from outside the UK. Calls to the 0870 number cost up to 10 pence per minute (including VAT) plus your service provider's network extras. Calls to the helpline from outside the UK will be charged at applicable international rates. Different charges may apply to calls from mobile telephones and calls may be recorded and randomly monitored for security and training purposes. The helpline cannot provide advice on the merits of the Offer nor give any financial, legal or tax advice. Alternatively, you can call the Company directly on +44 (0)20 7963 9590 In accordance with guidelines issued by the FSA, shareholders are advised to be very wary of any unsolicited advice in relation to the Offer, or any unsolicited offers to buy their shares. If you receive any unsolicited investment advice or offers in relation to your shares:
If you deal with an unauthorised firm, you will not be eligible to receive payment under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
